Our Summer Camps are perfect for any child who dreams of spending their days  with horses. Whether your child is an experienced rider or a complete beginner, they’ll have the chance to grow their equestrian skills, make lifelong friends, and immerse themselves in the world of horses. 

The combination of structured daily lessons, hands on learning activities, and outdoor adventure ensures that no two days are the same, and is a fantastic opportunity for riders to deepen their connection with horses while gaining new skills in a supportive and exciting environment.  Unlike regular lessons, Camp gives riders the chance to engage in specialized activities that focus on both fun and learning! 

Campers will have the opportunity to practice many aspects of horsemanship and horse care, from chores to riding.  While "everything horses" is the main focus of the camp, camp time may include horse-related crafts, fishing, hiking, and cooling off with the hose.   

CAMPS WE OFFER: 

***Buckaroo Starter Half Day Camps (ages 5-10, or by permission) $450.00

Dates: June 15-19, July 20-24 (Mon-Fri 9am-12pm)

Buckaroo Starter Camp is the perfect introduction to the wonderful world of horses for young horse enthusiasts! These weekly Half-Day camps are specially designed for boys and girls ages 5-10, providing a fun and safe environment where they can begin their equestrian journey.  For many of our Buckaroo Starter campers, this will be their first time interacting with horses in a structured, safe way. Our instructors focus on fostering a sense of respect, care, and fun around horses, so children will feel comfortable and excited about their new equestrian experiences.   Spaces are limited, so be sure to reserve your child’s spot for this unforgettable adventure! 

Camp Highlights: 

• One Riding Lesson Per Day-  Each camper will have the opportunity to take a riding lesson each day with our experienced instructors to learn basic riding techniques & build confidence!  Whether learning to trot around the arena or learning how to steer, every camper will leave with a new sense of accomplishment. 

• Games & Crafts- Buckaroo Starter Camp isn’t just about riding—it’s about having fun and being creative! Campers will enjoy horse-themed games and crafts that help them develop motor skills, teamwork, and an understanding of horse care. Imagine a relay race where campers work together to complete barn chores, or crafting their own horse-inspired art projects!

• Farm Fun- Arrowhead G Ranch is packed with farm fun activities your Buckaroo Starter Camper will enjoy, such as hiking, fishing, and adventuring to our hidden spring/watering hole! 

• A Focus on Beginner Riders- This camp is especially ideal for children who are new to horses or have limited riding experience. It’s a gentle, supportive environment where they can explore their love for horses and develop a foundational understanding of equestrian activities, all while building confidence.

***Horsemanship Full Day Camps (ages 7-17, or by permission) $750.00

Dates: June 1-5, June 8-12, June 29-July 3, July 6-10, July 13-17, July 27-31

Horsemanship Full Day Camps are a fantastic opportunity for all levels of riders to deepen their connection with horses, gain new skills, and broaden their knowledge. Unlike regular lessons, Camp gives riders the chance to engage in specialized activities that focus on both fun and learning across all aspects of equestrian life- from in the saddle, the arena, to in the barn, and on the farm! Whether your camper is looking to refine his/her riding skills, learn new horsemanship skills or just have fun with horses & farm life in a relaxed setting, Horsemanship Full Day Camp is the perfect way to do it all!   Campers will participate in a variety of activities designed to improve their riding skills, develop their horse-handling abilities, and experience all aspects of horse care. Spaces are limited, so be sure to reserve your child’s spot for this unforgettable adventure! 

Camp Highlights: 

• One Riding Lesson Per Day-  Each camper will take a riding lesson each day, tailored to each camper's skill level, focusing on all different aspects of riding, from basic skills to more advanced techniques, with our experienced instructors 

• Stable Management & Horse Handling- Campers will get hands-on experience in caring for horses, including grooming, tacking up, and learning about horse anatomy, behavior, breeds, nutrition, and more! 

• Barn Chores & Farm Work- Learning responsibility and teamwork is a big part of the camp! Campers will assist with daily barn chores, helping to clean stalls, feed horses, and ensure the barn is well-maintained.

• Farm Fun, Games, & Friendship: Camp is not just about riding—it’s about making new friends, building confidence, having fun in a safe, supportive environment, and making memories of a lifetime! Campers will enjoy horse-themed games and crafts, as well as farm fun activities, such as hiking, fishing, and adventuring to our hidden spring/watering hole! 

• Grooming Competitions, Bareback Riding, Games on Horseback, In-Hand & Groundwork Exercises for developing good communication with horses 

***Specialty Camp- Nuts & Bolts of Horse Showing (ages 7-17, or by permission) $750.00

Nuts & Bolts of Horse Showing Specialty Camp is a packed full week covering all aspects of horse showing for your developing equestrian, from hunter/jumper/equitation to dressage. Campers will learn all of the major aspects that go into preparing for horse showing, such as show bathing, grooming, and braiding, packing a trailer, proper show to-do lists & equipment must-haves.  Campers will also learn about how to read show programs/prize lists, what goes into course designs, how to set & memorize proper show courses & tests! During the mounted portion of the day, we will be preparing for a final  show at the end of the week to be professionally judged in a class & discipline of their choice. All parents, friends, and family are  welcome to attend to cheer on their camper!  

Camp Highlights: 

• Knowledge Packed & Hands On Learning- Campers will get hands-on experience related specifically for equestrians interested in/currently competing in horse shows, including show grooming, braiding, tacking up (show attire and tack rules per disciplines, and learning about horse first aid, preventive/sport horse medicine practices/tactics, wrapping legs, show registration entities & types of horse shows, and more! 
• One Riding Lesson Per Day-  Each camper will take a riding lesson each day, tailored to each camper's skill level, focusing on all different aspects of riding to prepare for an upcoming horse show
